Mine are coated with grease. Due to the slack and free-play, I don't think grease should be used at all. I'm going to clean all the grease off with brake cleaner and see what will happen. Maybe dry, there will be enough friction to hold them up.

Have you guys contacted the adapter manufacturer for advice?

The adapter came with the tractor. I was hoping a dealer might jump in and offer some advice. I don't know who Kioti uses for the adapter. Maybe it is there own design?

Most likely built by the same South Korean Company that built the KL451 loader. I believe their name was Sad-Song, or Pin-Hung Manufacturing Company. NHs may be the ATI Corporation QAs, and buckets.

Can't say about the springs holding or not because I don't have one. But from the photos, an easy and positive way of preventing the latch to open is to secure the handle in the "locked" position. You can do it fairly easily by making a bracket from the frame to the locking handle. Drill some holes and use a lynch pin to keep it in the closed position securely. I've marked up your photo (crummy drawing) but you get the idea.

I see what you are saying in your drawing. Our problem is the opposite one. It stays closed just fine. It won't stay open and it lets the pins drop back into the holes so you can't get out of the attachment. We could hold the handle up in the open position with a bungee strap but as Donny says, a $25000 to $29000 machine should not have to be held in position with a $1.00 strap. :(

I'm sorry I missed that but after re-reading the first post I see what the problem is.
I agree that should not happen on a machine like that. Well, you can use the same principle to "lock" the handle in the open position and your problem will be cured forever. I suppose you would make it "better" than factory in this case?

Yeah, I understand everyone's frustration about it not working as designed and I'd be the same way. But after I vented with a couple "whiny" sessions, I would create a fix. It appears to me that it's a gravity issue. Something has to offset the weight of the bracketry and pins wanting to go downward. I'm a cut/weld kind of guy. So I'd cut the handle in two. then cut a "pie shaped" piece off one cut end, then weld it back together. This would put the handle in more of an over center, horizontal position when open, rather than the current mostly vertical position. This would put the weight of the handle pushing down on the mechanism and holding it in an open position. It would still be in enough of a horizontal position when closed to hold everything in that position. No pins, tarp straps needed. THEN,,,,, I would email the manufacturer with a picture and suggestion. THEN,,,,, us buyers down the road would benefit from your practical fix!!!! :)

In this photo I have highlighted a slide area. I found if you clean all the dirt out of the area and lube it with something like white grease the quick attach works fine again. I hope this info might help others who are having some concerns with the setup. This slide area is critical to the proper way this setup works. Trouble is with this area is prone to alot of dirt. Keep it clean and lubed and hopefully this helps others. It worked for me as of right now. Good luck!!
