Quick Connect problem

I have a DK45S with an Woods BX90-X BH both work great. I have a problem with the Kioti rear attachment quick connects. I took the BH off to start bush hogging and now I cannot re-connect one of the quick connects. I 've pushed the male into the female connect as hard as I could but the ring on the female will not push forward to lock the male into position. Inside the female there is a small stub which I think is the problem, but I am unable to move it to make a connection. I've tried everything I can think of, any suggestions?

Most likely, there is pressure that has built up in the backhoe. It's a common problem, especially if it settles a little or has been sitting in the sun. The easiest way is to wrap a rag over the male QD and either press it hard against the frame or tap it with a brass hammer-one little spurt of fluid will come out and you will be able to re-connect.

I've used two wrenches and lossened the quick connect fitting its self on the hose to let the pressure out.

I also have the same problem with my KB2375. Before I hit the QC, I move all the bh levers in all directions before trying to hook up the lines. It's worked for 75% of the time.

Here's the latest on the quick connect. Went out this morning and tapped the male QC with my finger and presto a little fluid bounced out. That's a winner. I suspect that waiting overnight the pressure released somewhat and enabled me to connect easily to the female. Now however I am unable to disconnect the other male QC from the female. I suspect the problem is pressure again. I'll wait a while and maybe the pressure will self release. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all the help.

Pressure in a connected line will cause it to resist disconnection. Since the line is connected tho, you can relieve the praessure in it by turning off the tractor and operating the tractor and BH hyd control valves. Then give the line a jerk.

Quick connect problems now resolved. What I did was shut off the tractor and operated the hydraulics on both the BH and the tractor. This relieved the pressure. Thanks to all for the help, and especially Spyderlink for this problem.

The tractor should ALWAYS be off when connecting/disconnecting QD's!
