Quick Connects Leaking

this probably doesn't make sense, and might not apply to your problem, but i once had an issue with a leaking QA on my old JD. The connectors are supposed to come as a set say a 3506 male and a 3507 female. I had a post hole digger with a male end that LOOKED like the proper male end, and actually fit into the female section, but it wasn't the right male end. They worked and stayed hooked together, but leaked like a dog.

I ended up writing down the part numbers from both ends and going to the local Parker hydraulic shop to have them cross checked..... the dealer told me the news. Swapped to the right ends, tossed out the wrong ones, and now no leaks.

I replaced the O ring in each of my 4 loader disconnects. I made sure to put the plastic spacer ring back in like before. I am still dripping fluid it does not seem as much as before though. What is normal fluid loss? I have thought about hard plumbing sinse I never remove the loader anyway. Oh the NH dealer had no listing in the parts manual for the rings. We had to mach them up. This leads me to belive they want you to replace the whle connecter anyway. Any Thoughts?

My quick connects were leaking and I thought it was due to the seals. I took a closer look and I noticed that the male fitting didn't have any sealant on the fitting threads and that's where they were leaking. it wasn't the female.

I put hydraulic sealant on the thread , tightened them down aand they haven't leaked since. The back of the tractor stays nice and clean now.
So make sure that you don't have a leak at the treaded joint on the male fitting.
