Nice job, I know a lot of work went into creating the "J" hook. Might have been easier to use a Ox/ace torch though.

I thought about making my own just like you did. But do not have a way to cut the thick flat for the hooks. How much would you charge to make me a set?. I thinks the PAT,S are great, but just don,t have that much to spend on a set. Just like most everybody I am tired to pulling, kicking,ect. to make those pins line up.

Seriously, all I did was bore the hole in the flat stock 15/16", then cut straight in from the end with an angle grinder w/ a cutting wheel. Then I cut one of the legs shorter. It didn't take too long and only a couple of wheels. I've got a friend with a milling machine, ifI make another set, I'll pay him a visit.
I just saw a pair on ebay for 49.00 with a shipping flat rate of 18.99. Guys chem them out and tell me what you think. They are supposed to have a "lifetime" warranty. They might be worth a try for that price, but I would sure like to have someone,s opinion about them that has more tractor experience than me, I am only in my 2nd. year of tractor operation. They are at ATVEXPRESS.com. Thanks for any feedback.

Note that the"j" is on the back of the tubing and not the top. So there will be some legnth adjustments.
Hope they start to sell just the "j" parts .

Watch what you get from ATVEXPRESS. They have sent out copies of my US Patent hitch with copies of my instructions with my name still on them. So now I am getting emails and phone calls from people that have bought them and they are breaking thinking I should warranty them. Our attorney has tried to contact them and they just change their disposable cell phones. I have contacted the State Attorney in Tennessee and they have had their business license revoked in Tennessee and Arkansas. But they have had a time tracking them down also. My next step is to go to the FBI fraud unit. I have had them removed from Ebay, but they keep putting them back on. Try to find and address or direct phone number for them. What do they have to hide that they won't list their address or telephone number on their website? Just my two cents worth. It makes it hard on the small business that tries to play by the rules, like paying taxes and taking care of their customers.

There is a company, Carter and sons, that make one like the homemade ones. They are a reputable company and we both stay on our own sides of the street. Just wanted to make sure nobody is confusing ATVExpress and Carter & Sons. It is tough when somebody calls me complaining about "my" hitch breaking and I have to break it to them that they got ripped off. They can't reach ATVExpress and the only contact information they have is ours off of the fake instructions. You can look back at many postings, we take care of our customers to their 100% satisfaction and it hurts to know this guy is using my reputation and hardwork to rip people off.
DOH this is making me want to spend my meager but hard earned salary on things I may have to do this for me setup so i get cat2 proper.
pat have you considered following the money trail? ie where the checks get cashed etc. also pat do you have a cat1 to 2 ?
