well got me one and it works great. it only came with 1 set of the adapters bushings whatever they are called for the lower arms. I put these on my box blade and it worked so good I went off to get two more sets of them. God god those things are $44 a set (21 and change each) at TSC almost 1/4 the price of the whole hitch.

They should be about $21.00 for 2 adapters. I think you better go and get some money back /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Check the catalogue while your there, the are not on the website, I just checked for you.

BTW...Quick hitches are beautiful things!

If you're talking about the Cat2/Cat1 adapter bushings, I don't understand either price. I get them for 79 cents each at my local NAPA store.

I believe they're referring to the tee-shaped bushings that go on the lower-link pins when yopu use a quick hitch. (About 3" long, with approx. 2"being roughly 1-1/8" in dia. then the last 1" being about 2" in dia. There's a hole cross-drilled for a roll pin where the linch pin would normally go.) (From what I can tell, they should be about $21 A PAIR, not individually)

They are ~$20 a pair not each, must have had a newbie in the store that day. I have had a pair given to me on two occasions when buying a mower and landscape rake from TSC.

Go get your money back and ask for another pair for your trouble.

Ahhh, no wonder I was confused. Those pins came WITH my quick hitch, standard equipment. The seventy nine cent bushings to which I referred make Cat 1 implement lift pins fmate properly with the Cat 2 QH lower lift lugs.

Instead of the expensive Speeco bushings you can use cat III to cat II bushings slipped over Cat II to cat I bushings. The T shape is not necessary. Tack weld the bushings to your pins or use big roll pins and grind off the excess roll pin.

All you need to do is make the pin diameter same as a Cat III pin.

Congratulations on the quick hitch. I love mine. If you have to modify your attachments you should make them match the Cat I quick hitch standard withtop link pin 15" higher than bottom pins. This is better than adjusting the Speeco top hook with the bolts because if you or your neighbor get a JD I-match everything will fit.

The JD hitch meets the standard. The Speeco can be adjusted to meet the standard, or misadjusted so it does not. Why not make your equipment meet the standard?

IMO the I-match is best at about $237. Speeco is good at $200. (I have both.) This Cat I quick hitch system setup is superior to the Pat's system, of course Pat won't say so.

Weld some 3/8 grab hooks to the side of your hitch. Very handy. Note the big shackel with a grab hook welded to it on the drawbar. Also very handy, but sometimes the Speeco hits it.

When you shop for implements ask the dealer if it fits the Cat I quick hitch standard. The more people who ask, the more message we send to the implement companies. Now days every new CAT I implement should meet the standard.

i used adapters from TSC that were about $1.50. they work great. as stated no need for the T on the end. I use just a regular spring clip ($.59) and have had no problems.

<font color="green">JRP From the looks of the picture you sure do like grab hooks. I counted five unless there were more hiding somewhere that I didn't see. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
