I received an offer for $14.5 for a B7800, HST, R4s with ROPS and FEL.

Is this reasonable?

Thank you.

Sounds like a great price for the tractor, if new!

Not sure just how recent the pricing is in this link, but it is interesting to check.

My price was at 11:00 PST today. New. I have actually visited the link you provided. It is helpful. Thanks!

I think the dealer is being nice to me because he knows I am dumping my BX-1850 with 50 hours on it because it is a POS.

I will probably buy the B-7800. The weight to HP ratio is the best I have seen since the JD-955. The B-7800 should have plenty of power to deal with my hill. I really do not see any real advantage of the B3030 over the B7800. If I am wrong please let me know!

If I wait until March there are usually incentives. I will have to have a discussion to make sure my dealer keeps the price until then. He is very understanding. This will be the 3d Kubota I have purchased from him.

The 1850 is a POS???!!??

Please explain, I thought these were pretty solid.

You're right about the 7800, it's a tank without the frills. The only reason I would have looked at one is for the PC on the 3 pt hitch, but since the only thing I will probably ever use on it is a tiller once a year I did not see the point. Also has independent PTO's so you can fire them up anytime, again nice, but not a big deal for me. The rest is just candy :D that I could not justify getting.

Heh heh, I went from a BX24 to a B7800 with BH, my budget got blown pretty fast to the tune of almost an extra 10 grand!!!!

:)

FWIW, my dealer was at 15990 for a B7800 and never budged all summer and through October, so your price looks good.

The 3030 has position control, a nicer 3 pt hitch adjustment, more 3 pt hitch lift capacity, a slightly more powerful loader and a little more raw tractor weight - about 220 lbs heavier. Of coarse it'll be more than 14.5K easy for a tractor/loader. That's a good price for the 7800.

I love my B7800, The 3030 is just so dam ugly I couldn't go with that one. They are really the same tractor, You could not go wrong with either 1 in that class. The feature differences has more to do with what you are going to do with it than weather one is better than the other. I paid $16.300 for mine last summer with a loader. You never get out of it for that though after you add the trinkets to it. By the way the 3030 isn't ugly, it's just not as cute as the B7800

I carefully looked at the pros and cons of B7800 vs B3030 before buying my B7800. Mostly it came down to $. The B7800 was already more tractor than I had originally planned to buy and the difference was going to be 1800cdn$ but I've read on this site where some people get a much less difference in US$. I like the idea of using the clutch to disengage the PTO because that is what I am used to. I wasn't really clear on whether the LA403 was actually a heavier loader. The lift cylinders on it are a smaller diameter but it is rated at a higher pressure so I don't know if the B3030 pump puts up more pressure or if the LA403 is just rated at a higher pressure. The B3030 also has a rear hydraulic outlet that may make it easier to add remotes later if that's what you want. The extendable links would be nice. The B3030 has hydrostatic steering which is supposed to be better for some reason but my B7800 steers easy whith a full bucket of gravel and I couldn't ask any more than that.Like everyone else says, you have to decide how important the extras are to YOU. I've only used mine for loader work so far and it's done all that I've asked of it without really trying.I'm pretty sure you'll like whichever one you choose. That sounds like an awesome price from sitting on my side of the border.
