Questions:

1. This is a new tractor?
2. Is this cash or financed price?
3. Did you consider the 60" regular cut deck?
4. How much $ extra are the set of turf tires and wheels?
5. Is this a 2013 or 2014?

1. Yes, new
2. financed 0% for 60 months
3. I did not, because I wanted the fine cut deck
4. I didn't get the price just for the tires; it was all together in what I asked for
5. 2014

I am going to talk to the dealer about the wheel and tires, I can't ask for advice and then not heed it. thanks guys.

I suggest swapping the thumb $370 and get the quick attach Fel bucket $280 in lieu of the turf tires setup but find out first what the dealer is adding for the turf tires and wheels.

If you get the qa bucket you can add forks too.

well, I made the call and am going to buy the tractor. I took in all of your advice and suggestions, greatly appreciated. Thank you.

After much consideration and research, I decided to keep the turf tires and wheels in the package. I did swap to the 60 inch deck after seeing that rear wheel spacers put the tires out a little closer to the deck wheels than I would be comfortable with on the 54. I also added a thumb.

I have been members of other forums in the past and have always had good success, and this experiece was no different. Thanks again!

I bought my L245dt in 1982. I am still figuring out if I got a good deal. Enjoy.

I hope he keeps us updated on his progress with the machine.

Two years ago, I bought a 25D for 17, I was pleased with the deal. The dealer welded a hook to the bucket for me, changed the tires to turf (filled), and gave me the three point kit.

I do put rear chains on if they are calling for ice. I got them at tirechains.com and do have front, and rear. It is nearly unstoppable with chains on, even with a lot of ice.

The turf tires may not be necessary, but if you may go in other peoples yards for work, I bet they would appreciate the thought of extra care, and make them feel better!

When I bought it, I did not think I would need a mower (DOH!), and would surely have gotten a better deal if I had bought it then. Lessons learned hard are lessons learned best!

Good luck, I sure have enjoyed the little fella, and have been VERY pleasantly surprised at it's abilities.

George
