Quicke FEL

Given all the brands of loaders on the market, I'd pick the Quicke every time!

It's up to the dealer to get the RIGHT mount and get it mounted PROPERLY, but as far as I'm concerned, Quicke/ALO is the best loader on the market!

I had a GC2400 with the DL100 loader which was build by SOO tractors/Radius Steel, and now have a GC1720 with the DL95 loader built by Quicke. I think they are both great loaders in different ways.

I like the hard lines on the DL100
I like the recessed zerks on the DL95
The DL100 was easier to put on/take off
The DL95 has more lift capacity
The DL100 had more break out force

I would like to be able to take some traits from both and build the ultimate loader!

I recently saw a you tube video I'd never seen before from mid 2014. It was comparingthe dl100 to the dl95 and why MF chose the DL95 in early 2014 to replace the dl100.

I remember many claiming the specs on the dl95 were inflated or inaccurate. But now I know why they are not only accurate but why the dl95 has 870 pounds of lift and the dl100 has 680. Why? Because the dl95 is built with larger piston sized hydrauliics for the 2 push and the 2 pull units. Greater diameters and surface areas than the dl100. That explaiins alot. That same you tube video explains the makeup of the dl95 bucket edge compared to the dl100 and also that the new crossing tube location actually improves fel strength to maintain arm alignment. In other words the dl95 wasn't chosen for cost reasons but for strength and improvement reasons on any gc1700 units.

I tend to agree. my only gripe is the stupid push/pull hydraulic hose connections with the little plastic locking clip.

The things I like compared to my last FEL on a 1648 is that it crossbar does not block the headlights and you get better visibility of the load.

I know a thing or two about blocked headlights.:censored:

My ALO doesn't have any plastic locking clips, so I'm not sure what you are referring to?

Still waiting and hoping the dealer is enjoying my tractor more than I am.

That has to be a Massey thing. The only loaders I've ever seen (that were mounted brand new on a brand new tractor) that blocked headlights were on MF tractors. Recall seening several that had headlight holes torched in the loader frame or the front part completely removed.

I don't know how hadlights are blocked on cuts . . But I know many brands of scuts hav blocking of headlights. I tested a gc1700 with the dl100 soo loader on it and it was more blocking than mine with the dl95 loader.
