I want to buy a quickhitch for my BX. I've downloaded the manuals for both the Landpride QH-15 and the Worksaver QH-101. I like these two because you don't need to buy more adapters every time you add an implement.

A couple of questions: Has anyone actually used one of these on a BX? Or personally seen one in action? I've heard rumors from dealers that don't have any to sell that they don't work because the BX is just "too small". I have a hard time buying that. I've looked real hard at these hitches and these particular ones don't require any more ground clearance or hitch spacing, adding maybe just 3 inches to the overall length of the tracotr+implement. I just don't see WHY they wouldn't work.

The other thing is that I havent' been able to find a price for either of these. The local dealers don't sell them, and the Web email i've sent out hasn't been responded to. I can't imagine that they are a lot of money...

Thanks! (and if this thread bores you, don't read it... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif )

If either one is the same as sold by TSC, the problem will come from the BX lower arms. I tried to use a QH, it was anything but quick because of the arm length. I recommend against it.

What exactly was the problem on the length of the arms, did it make it tough to install the QH or insufficient clearance to raise or lower it? Would welding gussets to the tractor side (thus extending it out a bit further) fix it? I'd really appreciate an answer on this...I occasionally have serious back/hip problems and looking to help alleviate these in the future. I have to believe that we could figger out a way to make these work...

The QH was simple enugh to install. The problem came from connecting the implements. The idea of just backing in & raising the hitch just would not happen. I tried several ways, and always ended up exerting as much effort as without the QH. Note, I have a variety of attachments and always had the same trouble. The only sure fix is to extend or changeout the lower arms. Before doing this I would consult with Kubota.
