I made these one day when the snow first started falling this winter. I haven't painted them yet but I will in the spring when it warms up. Built them mostly from scrap pieces I had laying around including and old receiver hitch. That is what provided the 2" square tube and the metal for the skids. The first picture is of the RB on my B3030.

Top. I originally made these for a RB1560 blade. They were just bolted onto the cutting edge bolts. When I traded up for a RB1572 I found the bolt pattern on the blade was a little different. I could only use one bolt so I just welded them in place. For height adjustment I drilled 7/16" holes in the square tubing in several different places. Whn I switched them over to the new blade I found that the shoes were about 1/16" too low to scrape my concrete driveway clean. To adjust the height I swapped the 7/16" pins for 5/16" bolts. It works perfect that way and as the shoes wear I will just go to 3/8" bolts and finally back to the 7/16" pins. by then I'll need to replace the shoes.

3 years later... I was looking at your homebuilt skidshoe pictures and wondered how well they work at an angle when your blade is set a 30°?

I am considering the purchase of a LP RB2572 similar to yours although a bit heavier to match the weight of my 54" Kubota box blade/scraper. Since I have a gravel driveway and my need is snow removal I am also considering a pair of hand fabed 30° swing mount tires mounted to the back of the blade.
