Cue Western movie theme:

Cowboy#1 "Quiet night"

(Crickets chirping. Coyotes howl in the distance.)

Cowboy #2 "Yeah...too quiet"...

Cue attack from hostile natives or critters...

Well, maybe not.

I guess we're all too busy catching up from winter and trying to get ready for spring. I know I am. Winter here was brutal and lasted too long. Spring is coming on fast, and I'm already trying to play catch-up.

Come 2:35 AM Eastern Time it'll officially be SPRING! After the sun comes up, we're gonna do SOMETHING appropriate for the occasion. Might be inside, or might be out in the garden. Might be some of each.

I promise, we won't scandalize the neighbors...too much. (Easy promise - we're quieter and more conservative than they are...and they are old-school country folk).

(shuffling leaves, breaks twig, pitch black)
Non hostile native #1, "Don't shoot!"

It has been quiet on here for days. I check this site daily to see what's up with everyone and everything. Nothing new at all. I am ready for spring, winter has been brutal here in northeast ohio and more so when my tractor broke. But all is well now and I think I have all my stuff caught up. I just don't know if I should leave the plow on or chance it and put any other attachment on there just so I don't have to think of snow.

I'm eating corn flakes.

No seat time for about a month. No snow to move, no grass to mow, no firewood to haul. :)

After an unusually cool and wet Winter, I had 8 days without rain. The ground was still wet and saturated. Standing water in places had finally dried up, but had been there long enough to kill the grass in some areas. But I mowed, edged, trimmed, and fertilized my own yard while it was still wet enough the walk behind lawnmower wheels made ruts. The 80 year old fellow next door told me Tuesday he was going to be out of town for 5 days and his yard hadn't been mowed since last Fall. He also mentioned that he's got to buy a new lawnmower. In fact, in a few places the grass was over knee deep. So I mowed it Thursday myself. And I noticed other people all over the neighborhood mowing the last two days. The temperature got up to 72 yesterday.

And then, as you said, Spring arrived this morning, and so did the rain, between 2 and 3 a.m. Just over an inch so far and the whole neighborhood looks like a swamp again.:mur: Temperature is falling and there's snow in the forecast.:(

wrapping up a movie here in LA. 14 hour days, 6 day weeks (trying to get the show in the can as it opens June 1) Hope to head home before April 1 for at least a week. Woodland is a big Tulip growing area, and they have a tulip festival April 4 - April 21

I have a list of repairs for the PT when I get back, a broken throttle cable, a bad engine mount, a new tilt dump cylinder and maybe a mod to set up a proprietary valve spool for the grapple bucket.

Still muddy at home. Dreaming of seat time. Killing time in LA remodeling a bathroom (how come I can budget a multi million dollar project and stay on budget, and I budget a 1500 bathroom remodel and it takes me 6K and 4 months?)

I had that same problem before I retired.

Mowed a couple times already. :) Well some of it was thru standing water, but thats how it is around here until summer hits and then there isn't any rain for a few months.

The weather forecasters were right. First day of Spring and it's snowing!

Well of course - it's Spring! It's not really Spring unless it's cold, wet, miserable & muddy for a while.

I hope it gets better for you real soon. I also hope that that part of Spring forgets to visit me this year...

Hey Willie!

Glad to hear from you. Now throw in something fun! Other than CC, everybody has replied to my silliness with serious answers!

Haha, thanks!

Yes, good ol Willie is still around. Believe it or not, I actually check up on here almost every day, see whats going on. Even though I might not be logged on, I still could be checking on this forum (I could be checking on here right now! Wait a minute..... )

So ever since I "left" things have gone really well :)

My summer was AWESOME! The best one yet! Did a lot of bike riding, fishing (didn't catch much though  ) hanging around with friends, fun stuff like that. But I also did my normal work but I won't get into that.

Nowadays are about the same, except now I'm focusing on school work (10th grade on my way to 11th) but I still do fun stuff like fishing, looking at old semi trucks and dump trucks (my latest interest:)) and hanging around with friends when I have the time (I got quite a bit of free time actually, which is good)

So I'm still around guys, the same old ToolcatWonka5610 :)
