I think this John Deere Is the most quiet

You kidding? The "engine" on that thing can barely get it up a hill, even without the FEL and BB attached. And it makes the most unholy racket you've ever heard after about 2 minutes warming up in the blazing Texas sun... It starts out sounding like a low-pitched muttering, then rapidly escalates to a high-pitched screaming/cussing sound...! Eventually, however, it does quiet down somewhat to a wheezing, coughing sound just before it rolls over on you...

When I start my old MF 1040 up it sounds like a tractor along with a few belches of black smoke Oh the smell and sound of a diesel

It would be real hard to beat my old Allis Chalmers C for "quiet."

And the benefit to having this "quiet" tractor is?? Are you just trying to get some additional seat time? Example: I think I'll sneak over and mow my neighbors yard, or go plow my neighbors field, or, honey I'm going to go take the trash out (instead of painting the bathroom), and you sneak off on your tractor. Hey, you may be on to something here. Keep up the good work.

I find it hard to believe that you'd find enough difference in these machines for it to be a determining factor in your choice. All the new tractors I test drove, or have been around sound about the same - All are noisy from the drivers seat.

However, generally, the more cylinders the quieter the machines seem to be. I had a big Case escavator (130 I think) on my property a few weeks ago, and was amazed at how quiet that big rig was.

I do find that my Kioti is a lot noisier when cold then after it warms up.

So, make your choice based on other factors.
