Well I think I finally have myself convenced that it's time to upgrade to a B2910HSD W/FEL and a 72" mid mower and turf tires. The wife says if I had a mid mower she would help mow and would let the kids do it as well. What I need is all these internet dealers to give me there best quote with shipping to Rochester, NY the first time! I will be selling my B8200HST W/FEL and 72" 3 pt. rear mower If I don't get a good offer for it as a trade-in. It is in excellent condition with 890 hrs. If you just got a good deal on a B2710-2910 let me know so I know what to expect to pay. Thanks for all replys, Von
FYI I'm in Syracuse NY and bought from Carver. Shipping was about $700 which was less than the sales tax I would have paid in NY (not to mention that my local dealers wouldn't deal)
Von, your post is perfect timing. I work out of town and get back on the weekends. As I was leaving to come back home last Saturday, my wife called and could'nt start the small 33" Snapper I have. I also have a 80" mower on an old International which does 99% of the mowing. She won't drive the International, but will the Snapper. She wished there was a mower that she could use that would mow all the land we have that she could use. The Snapper is just for around the 114 Rainbirds we have. My thoughts went right to the B2910. It fits the bill because it has the mid-mount mower in 72". Then I started looking at the L 3710, the largest tractor in Kubotas lineup that still has a midmount PTO. I have to do some thinking here. I like that I could get a little bigger loader for the 3710, but the 2910 is small and manuverable. Let me know if you have any thoughts about this as these are smaller tractors then I have been looking at and am a little clueless as to their abilities. I know that I will want a midmount mower as it would work well on our piece of property. Thanks, Rat...
Well Von,
Your situation sounds very similar to mine. My 20 year old Wheelhorse has died on me one too many times this summer. I'm in the final (hopefully) stages of negotiating for a B2910 with a 60 inch mid mower. The best price I have received to date is $15,850. I'm also waffeling on a front-end loader for an additional $2,700. Hope this helps.
warrend, I know they're expensive, but I think a front end loader is one of the handiest pieces of equipment you'll ever own. Just beats the heck of wheelbarrows, shovels, and strained backs./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
It's a bargain at that little price difference./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif And don't forget the $15 shovel and thousand dollar doctor bills for the bad back./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
With the wheel barrow and shovel, you never uttered the words...bring me 32 yards of 3/4 inch rock and 32 yards of roadbase. Now you can handle it so you take on bigger jobs than were possible before. The old loader sure gets called on to do a lot of work that just could not be tackled before.
Von,
Just this past June I recieved my 2710 with a 72" mid mower FEL with a 4 position valve, turf tires with ballast and a full set of shop manuals for the tractor, mower and FEL for 18 and change. Try Modern Equipment in Tenn (800-540-1704) and talk to Steve or Dave Bowman. They were great to deal with and the shipping was under $600. I am in the lower hudson valley NY so I wouldn't think that shipping would be much more to your area.
I tried dealing with Carver Equipment and they were great guys don't get me wrong..they just couldn't come near the price.
Good luck with your purchase
Dale
