Tires R1 tire widths on 4310

My 4310 should be here in the next 2-3 weeks. I want to have the R1 tires set wider than the minimum width when it is set up before delivery and can't find info on min/max settings for both front and rear tires. I'd like to know what width settings I have available on the Ag tires. I work some pretty steep grades and will be glad to trade some turning radius for greater stability. I will be running 12.4x24s rear and 7x16 fronts. I'm glad I went oversized as they are 6ply tires which should do better under loader weight and with puncture resistance. My old Ford had 8 possible settings The on-line 4310 owners manual that RockyRidge Mike kindly pointed me to doesn't have those details. I'd like to have a good idea of my options before I call my dealer to discuss all of the set up details. Any info and observations will be appreciated.

According to the Lxx10 brochure I have, the L4310 has 5 "tread" width settings for the rear tires with R1's. My understanding is that "tread" width is the distance between the center lines of the tires. The 5 tread width settings are: 46.5, 47.2, 51.2, 57.1, and 60.8. The R1 tire on that tractor is a 14.9-24, which is 14.9" wide. Therefore, to compute the outside-to-outside width at the rear tires, you would add 14.9" to each of the tread width settings. At the maximum width setting, your rear width would be (60.8 + 14.9 =) 75.7". That may be too wide for your implements.

Oops, I answered for the Kubota 4310. I now suspect you were asking about the JD 4310. This numerology is certainly confusing. Well, the methodology is the same anyway. Add the width of the rear tire to the available tread widths to get the overall widths.

To finish what I started, I see 6 tread width positions in the 4310 operator manual for the 11.2-24 tire: 37.9, 42.2, 42.8, 47.1, 50.4, and 54.7. Add 11.2" to get total width.

Yep. I'm refering to a JD 4310. Thanks for the info anyway. I'm guessing that I will have dish type wheels that can be set in or out and rims that can be set in or out as well. I know I'm going to end up with a wider stance that will not cover my JD 503, (precursor to 513) 5ft. bush hog but I will live with that . It already has probably 75 lbs. of angle iron welded around it's perimeter. The 503, like the 513 has really whimpy sheet metal sides and it's easy to stove in the back. It does have a good gearbox and chain guards on the front and a slip clutch so I'm going to run it to death. I'm ordering a 7ft mould board and cutting edge for my medium duty Woods RB 600 grading blade. I've worn out both cutting edges on it so it's need a new cutting edge anyway. The new mould board and cutting edge runs about $250. I really like the multiple angles, offset, and tilt it provides. I haven't found one in it's class with as many settings. With a 7 ft, blade it will become an RB 700. Of course all of this fiddling around with my implements is displacement activity while I wait for the new tractor. Thanks again for the info.
