new holland tc48da
Hey everybody, newbie here. I am not familiar with this forum. But I am trying to find advise on changing my industrial tires on my tc48da to ag tires. I also have a loader so they need to be able to handle loads. Any suggestions are appreciated or at least guidance of where I could find some help. Thanks.

Welcome, and the first place to go is your operators manual if you have one. It should list sizes for the r1 tire option somewhere in the specifications section. The next place to go is to a NH dealer. They will probably shoot you a high quote for a set of new rims and tires, but if you get a written quote it will have rim and tire sizes for cross referencing and comparison shopping.

Ok , after reading some other posts I was not clear on what I am trying to accomplish. I currently have titan 18.4-24 tractor power lug r-4's on the rear. and 12-16.5's on the front. My tires are 1000hrs old and are getting pretty worn. I now need as much ground power as I can muster up for my new field equipment. But at the same time I use my loader alot and need the strength of the r-4's for daily work that is not just in the field. Either way, I believe I am going to need new tires. Just to get the equipment on the tractor I will have to turn my rims around. Or get ag tires and rims. I did call the new holland dealer and did not like their qoute for the ag tires and rims to start with. I am as close to Imperial valley as I am to San Diego and I think I will find what I need there. Once I figure out what I need. Thanks for your input guys.

You probably won't be able to avoid changing the rims. R1s will use narrower rims than the r4s came with. You'll want good 6ply rears and 8 or 10 ply fronts in the sizes NH picked for the tc48.

What sizes were you quoted?

Try buying the tires and rims through sales rather than parts from a dealer. It maybe significantly cheaper.
