Radiator Hose Size

I ordered a hose heater. After measuring, I believe it to be a 1-1/2in hose. But UPS lost the part, so I had to re-order (for free, thanks Amazon) another one. I'll post picks (and probably a YT video) when its done.

Your engine will thank you on those cold mornings.

Enjoy your videos, I put one in about 2 years ago. Yesterday it was about 20* F here and I had my coolant heater on for about 5 hrs. Checked temp on hose just above the heater was approx 140* F the freeze plug on the block was about 110* and was about 100* going in & out of the Bottom of the radiator.
Purrs like a kitten when she starts!

Now I need to check temps after being plugged in for 1, 2, & 3 hours to see how long it takes to get up to temp.

Sooooo,

When you dropping by my place to install one in my LS? It’s not far from where you’re at to my shop

It's simple enough to install. Took longer to drain the radiator than to do the actual install. Would have taken a lot less time if I didn't jack around with that lower clamp! But now that I've done one, I'm sure it will go smoother next time. ;)

Thank you!

I haven't put the thermometer back on it to see what the temps are at different stages either. I thought about doing it for the video, but with a toddler screaming for "daddy!" inside the house, filming things like that are hard to do. :confused2: (even though grandma was with him. Don't think I left my toddler unattended. ;))
I can say that after the heater runs for a few hours, the tractor fires right up and sounds great! Block heaters should be standard equipment on all tractors, in my opinion.
