I have not been able to pull the screen from the right side (from the drivers seat) of the radiator. The other side comes off fine, but there are too many obstacles for me to get the left off. I overheated a little this weekend and finally had to vacuum the screen which was a pain. Anyone have this problem and more importantly, know of a fix or work around?

CK30 here? Just slide it over into the position of the other screen and remove. Re- assemble the same way. Hope this helps.

If you have access to a garden hose you can rinse off the screens without having to take them out at all. I do both..............take them out as Hodak stated and the hose

I had posted when I had this problem on my CK30. You normally have to remove the left one first and then slide the right one over to lift it out. Assuming this does not work then you are where I was. The reason that my right screen wouldn't slide over is because the handle deal on top would run into a piece of framing. It had been installed backwards from the factory and then the air hose from the filter placed above it to lock the screen in place.

In my case I needed to unhook and move the air hose out of the way before I could lift the right screen out, flip it around and reinsert it on the left. This was nothing more than a Kioti assembly dude putting it in wrong. After spinning the screens they both are easily removed like most people's screens here.

You will very much want this screen to be easily removeable. I clean mine quite often since the screens plug up first right behind the oil cooler which means that air flow over that cooler is blocked even before the radiator is overly obstructed.

So on the picture you will see item #1 is the problem. That little handle will not slide past #2 which is an obstruction. It is locked in there until you remove that black air tube and lift the right screen out. You will notice that between the two screens there is that metal channel to lock them together, this function needs to be maintained. This means that when you flip the screen that the left will become the right and right the left. Just check your work at the end. All the parts are there.

I hope that this is the same on your CK20

You could tape some window screening onthe front of the tracor. Easy to take off and clean.

I'm not quite sure how all the chaffe gets in there but all the air inlets to the radiator are already covered by a tight mesh grille. I have found my screens filled with millions of little bugs too.

I had to wrestle with my screeens too on my ck30, found they were catching on the radiator support, so all I did was place four 1/8" fender shims on the radiator mount bolts, now they come right out with no problem.

Highbeam, in that second pic., the one on the trailer, was the tractor new or did you just wash it? That thing looks way too clean especially the left side of the loader where mine is covered in exhaust residue. LOL But it does look nice up on the trailer.

Ha, yes almost new. 334 hours later it isn't quite so new looking. The loader has a couple of blemishes and even black residue on the side beam. I took the support stands off pretty early on since I don't take the loader off and the stands might fall off.

I have had good luck cleaning off grease and soot with a tiny bit of diesel fuel.

Great responses! Never occured to me they assembled it wrong but Highbeam nailed it. Thats exactly what my problem was.

Thanks for all the responses,
Eric
