Radio Install in Kubota RTV1100

Thanks timswi..........I will feel around the headliner this weekend and see if I am up to the task, I found the radio harness on the web that I could order and will go from "9 pin Kubota to loose wires" , and I would have to figure out from my old radio which wire goes where. Like you say its not for sound quality , just diversion over the roar of the 3 cylinders !
Dollars to doughnuts you can find the manual and/or wiring diagram for your old radio if you plug the make & model into Google.

Many times there are tags on the radio wires too.

Thanks Timswi and Fallon........... although my RTV came with antennae , I checked for speakers in the headliner above the seats last night (even managed to squeeze my hand behind headliner for maybe 6 inches), but did not find speakers......this is a low budget "nice to have but not needed" idea of installing a radio and if speakers aren't there then hate to spend money to do it all. Maybe I will see if I can figure a way to send a signal to speakers (using wiring colour code I saw on this TBN thread, and see if I can hear them behind the headliner .....before I go much further.

Kubota's site says that the speakers and antenna are installed for an optional radio for your model. Maybe they moved the speaker location with the new model.

Wow Timswi...........I used that website link (American instead of my Canadian Kubota link) and by using the "build your Kubota" feature I see where it states "prewired speakers and Antennae's" is "standard " in the subsection summary for what comes standard.............you have given me hope !!! thanks

I'm following this with interest since I bought a 2009 RTV 1100 last November. Although it has a radio in the dash, and the radio lights up like it is working, I haven't yet managed to get any (radio) sound in the cab. If there are speakers hidden in the cab liner, it is likely I have a wiring/connection issue.

When I bought mine there was no adaptor--Had to "hack" into the harness. That may be where your problems lie. Kubota in their infanite wisdom made the radio harness very short and a nightmare to wire---Pull the radio and check the wires.

FYI--Bought mine new in 2009--So the previous owner was probably faced with the same thing as me.

The factory speakers likely sound like poo. If you get that feeling, you can easily replace them for $40-50. There were frequencies the speakers my tractor came with that wouldn't even come through, leading some songs had background singers but couldn't hear the lead, maybe the guitar didn't come through, etcetera. Just throwing it out there.
