Been about that long here. Had a few sprinkles yesterday and about 10 days ago, but that doesn't count.

We're getting slammed here in the Pacific NorthWest. Wind and rain like crazy! Great news for fire fighters and farmers!

I've heard rumors of wet like rain but have not seen any for quite some time.

We are had a very unusual August here. We got 9" of rain when 4" is our normal. Go figure?

Yep slammed is a good word for it and sort of welcome... at least the rain. I am not a wind fan but we have had one heck of a summer growing season here. We are just 'victory garden' type farmers here but the hot (for us) summer has been awesome!

Awesome is not the word I would choose to use. Horrible, miserable and deadly is a bit more like the terms I would use. Sorry to disagree with you Mark.
Wish we would see about 10 times the rain we have had in the last 3 days. It would still put us way behind the curve.

Well, if you are in Eastern Wa or similar then I understand... with the wildfires and all. I'm out on the Hood Canal and it has been lovely... yeah brown and dry. But as far as snow pack in the mountains... I read that we are 9%, yes 9% of normal. Luckily our reservoirs are in better shape as there has not been any real talk of drought on the west side of the Cascades. I suspect our winter will correct. Anyways... wishing for the best to all that are in fire danger.

There was a full day of rain here about 4-5 days ago. Wind came along with the rain but not bad. So far, its still keeping the blowing dust down but we could sure use some more.

Local news indicates the firefighters are finally getting ahead of the wildfires. For a long while they were loosing ground daily. It seems that half the firefighter in the world are here in Eastern WA fighting the fires. It is a good feeling to see such efforts and support from both near and afar. The northern tier of Ea WA is going to have a scar from these fires for a long time.
