I know a lot of people around the US is getting to much rain - But here in North Texas we got rain today!!!

First real here since very early September - (in December it rained [misted] but nothing could be found in the rain gauge.

Here in Anna we got 1.9" over a 18-20 hour period - so not to bad!!

How much rain did you other guys get around here?

It's been cold and wet so I'm just guessing at 2" here in Monroe, LA. Didn't get out much to check rain guages, etc.

I thought that's what that was.

Seemed like a pretty nice rain over here in southwest Grayson county, but my rain guage only showed .25 inch. I think it must have a leak or something.

My rain gauge showed 1.55" It was wonderful.

A little over 1/2" in Sunset...not enough, but a darn good start. At least it settled the dust.

The only thing about not having rain is I've been free to work on my pond as I like, but with so much dust it turns my blue tractor brown. This shower should stop that dust issue and help settle some of the dirt on my terraces too. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

A private weather station a couple of miles up the road that is reported on Weather Underground showed 1.8".

You would have laughed, a couple of weeks ago I messed up the washing machine drain digging out shrubs from in front of the porch. I did not know it was there. Haven't been able to get a plumber out to fix it...... Anyway I had the tractor parked with bucket raised to catch the run off from the roof. Did not want the rain water and washed in soil to get into the septic system. I had to back up and dump it twice over the weekend.

I'm guessing, but our cement pond is up by at least 1.5 inches here in Parker County. A nice gentle rain over about 18 hours too. Usually a rain like that would leave water standing in the borrow ditch on the road, but it all soaked in this time. We need a lot more to catch up - another possibility of rain on Thursday according to D/FW news forecasters.
