Does anyone know how to raise and lower the 3 point linkage on an 855 compact tractor. Not sure if it works or not when I got it there was blocks of wood jammed in to keep it raised. Took them out and it sits in the lowered position. How do I control the height????

There is a lever just under the seat and to the righthand side of it (basically between the seat and the right fender). With the motor revved up some, pull the lever up and the lift *should* come up. If not, check to see whether or not the rockshaft valve might be closed off. It's the round knob probably directly under the front of the seat. It's normally used to adjust the rate of descent of the attachments (each one weighs differently you know) but on most tractors it can also close off the valve controlling the lift.

If that doesn't get it up, then there might be a problem with the hydraulics.

Thank you! Will go and check it out, have found that valve yesterday so you just saved me another question as to what that is. Thanks again

On the 855, if the rate of close valve is fully closed while the engine is running, it will put the hydraulic system into relief and cause the other hydraulics to not function.
