I am looking into prices for a new L3200 and one dealer told me that Kubota will be raising prices March 1st, an average of 2.5% across the models. Does anyone know if this is true, or just a sales tactic to make you feel rushed?

I'm surprized its only 2.5%. You know our money is losing value, right? When you print a trillion dollars with an inkjet, people who have things with intrinsic value don't buy into the scheme...

I'd expect more like 10 --> 15 % increase (seriously). Food for certain, fuel probably.

Both.

The prices continue to rise. Not likely they'll be coming down anytime soon. The sales folks have been using that to get you to commit for a long, long time. Of course, if you're not ready to buy, it's pointless.

Thing is, it is true. They always go up in price.

Spoke with local Kubota dealer, who is also a friend, at "sport" show this weekend...he said the same thing. TMR

Above posts are correct. Steel and other prices are going up very fast. 2.5% will look like nothing. Many prices are up a lot more than that. Look at copper...

March 1st has been Kubota's price setting date in past years. My 2009 was delivered to the dealer before that date, so I was able to get it for less than one delivered after March 1st, when the 2009 prices increased. If the price had gone down, I might have paid more, but that's unlikely.

If your dealer has stock he received prior to March 1st, he may be willing to pass that the lower price on to you. The L3200 is a new model, so that may not be an option.

I suspect the US dollar is in decline against the yen, so I would expect the price to go up in response.

The timing may be to stimulate slow winter sales in North America. After all, if we are planning to buy anyway and we think the price is going up in a few months, most of us will try to save a few dollars and buy now.

The low-interest incentives may or may not co-incide with the price increases, I don't know what Kubota is offering now.

my dealer told me back in oct that they would be going up on the price in jan.an that was the main reason i went ahead an put the loader on my tractor when i bought it.so it makes sense that they would go up again in march.

Did they go up in January, or did they just say that? Also does anyone know how much it cost to upgrade to the QA bucket for the L 3400 & L3800?
