A few of you had asked me to post my opinions on how this tractor fair-up to real farm work. So here's my response.
I now have owned my tractor for over a month and have about 20 hours on it. We have used it for just about everything. It handles a post auger without any issues. I actully like using this tractor on the auger because it's smaller and I can get into tight places with it. It also runs a 5' brush hog with ease. We use it to mow the lawn (Woods RD6000), and over labot day weekend, I raked three fields of hay with it.
The tractor has more pro's than cons when raking hay. It turns tight, uses less fuel, and is quiet. The only con that I can think of is that it's a small tractor and is a little bumpy racing around the fields with a rake. I was able to pull the rake in 3rd high at about 1/2 throttle. I'm guessing that's about 5 or 6 MPH. I can honestly say that the smaller tractor on a rake did cut my raking time down. Not to mention that it was fun.
We'll, I have all my fields cleaned up for the year. The next job for this guy is to haul some firewood and saw logs out of the woods until the snow starts to fly. Then, we'll be plowing snow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
