Ram is going to cut powertrain warranties too

I see this is another thread where people just want to demonize a company. I am not to happy about the reduction of mileage on the ram warranty either but it is not a big deal to me. I mentioned in a few post back you can still purchase a lifetime warranty for gas powered Rams. (And so far ignored) If you are worried about warranties and you are buying a 30k,40k,50k truck buy the $2,000 dollar lifetime warranty and you should be happy. You're paying for the factory warranty anyway with the purchase price. They could include the lifetime warranty and raise the price to cover it but then people would complain they didn't have a choice.

My experience with extended warranties is they aren't worth the paper they're written on. I learned my lesson about them a long time ago and won't ever buy another one.

The ram lifetime warranty is not an after market. It is from the manufacturer and they stand behind it. Like I said some of the power wagon owners that bought theirs in 05 are still having stuff done under warranty. Just a few days ago one 05 owner had the manifold studs replaced under the lifetime warranty.

Didn't Chrysler have a lifetime powertrain warranty on every vehicle about 10-12 years ago? I also remember them having a 7/70 warranty for a while also.
A good friend always said: "The reason most people buy Chrysler products is because they enjoy driving the dealer's Neon courtesy car."

They did go through a point where some vehicles came with lifetime warranty. I'm not a expert on the matter but do know they stand behind them. The Rams now are better than they have ever been my 2013 Power Wagon is my favorite truck I have ever owned. To be fair to ford my 1969 Mach 1 is my favorite car. I like classic fords but have very little use for the modern ones. I don't mean that last statement to sound like I'm bashing ford I'm really not. I've just not had good experiences with anything ford in a long time. I have a 2011 Ford F-250 in my fleet that is the worst truck we've ever had. We all have different experiences and they lead us all to choose the brands we like. If my rams start to give me such bad service I'll look into changing brands again.
