Ram Longhauler Concept Truck

Best lookin dodge I've seen....kinda looks like my 06 F350.:thumbsup:
I replaced my stock tank with a 57 gallon transfer flow.....that bill is enough, never mind 160 gallons! For that kind of money, I'd rather go with a IH CTX, and have a serious HD hauler....

I can not see it being a big seller either. The Ford F-450 only sells a handfull of units a year and its $65,000 with 4x4 and tows about the same. Its a specialty market that does not have much growth with this economy.

Now if it had a air ride hitch, seats, and the suspension it would be in a class all its own.

Still neat and would be a Dodge truck I would buy if I were rich.

the wheelbase on this truck is 197.4"

on my crew cab f350 4x4 its 172 inch.
thats what I was referring to. i have enough hassle maneuvering my truck at times.

Wheel base = ride quality.... don't think so talk to a OTR trucker.

Class4 and 5 truck cost a bit more than a pickup but that is only the start.
Insurance is about 3 times what I was paying for my 1 ton.
Tires averaging around $450.00 each
Fuel mileage...... well lets just say you can pull/haul anything you want with 4.30, 4.56, 4.88 gears and 31inch tires just will not go very fast and far on a tank of go juice.

As to the real truck comment, ever own one? I had a fleet of W900L, the 450 I currently own is a real truck, it is well capable of hauling 6000# in the bed as staying within MFG spec for loading, I have had 16K behind it and hauled that all day long from Maine to MD with absolutly no issues or white nuckles.


One thing I will say about this latest creation from Dodge is it is a Show truck practical that might be another question. We people buy it.. you build it they will buy it.
