Sorry, but you were not the person that I had in mind when making that post. That person has a handle that starts with two capital letters and ends with to digits...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I really was hoping to get a response from Ramon to my question about the name of the Kubota dealership he was using. I would love to have contacted them to hear their side of the story on dealing with Ramon. I've always found that only hearing one side of a problem is just that, one sided.

On a more pleasent note, I got my L3130 out Monday before the next rain began here and plowed up and tilled the area where our tomatos will go this year. I've been a little concerned about having turf tires and I thought about getting my brother-in-law's Ford 2000 to do the chisel plowing with but I thought I'd give it a try. I started off pulling the 5 shank all purpose(chisel) plow in 5th gear. This was to fast for the tractor and the engine began to lug down some and put out smoke so I dropped down to 4th gear and it pulled it with no problem. I couldn't go quite as deep as with the 2000 before the wheels would spin but I believe if I had R1's it would have pulled it nearly as well. It handled the 5 ft tiller as well as the 2000 and all in all I think it performed better than expected. No underpower problem here.

Excellent point. Ramon never provided any relevant info that would have helped us corraborate his story. Therefore, I do think all his posts were less than completely truthful. Here's why:
1. He never posted a picture of his tractor or proof he owned one,
2. He would not name the Kubota dealer he dealt with,
3. He would not give his name, town or any info which would help the TBN folks verify what he had to say,
4. Not one single person ever wholeheartily agreed with his claim that his tractor was underpowered. On the contrary, many disagreed with him.

you get the idea....

Ramon if you are reading this, prove to us that we are wrong.
You can start by posting a photo of your tractor's bill of sale...but if you do, I for one, will be checking the info to make sure you're not spoofing us.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I am glad that the Internet has came so far. When I first started on it in 1995, almost anything was said and believed by somebody. I think people have come a long way with critical thinking and not just believing what someone says without proof.

Just look at Dan Rather! I think that CBS News is MUCH better now.

You are not kidding, I mean, just look at some of the baloney some folks are posting. I have learned to be quite skeptical, especially when it comes to oil. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Heres a link from a fellow you don't ever want to trust Check Snopes before you post RaT....

I always try to give people the benefit of a doubt but the more Ramon posted, the more skeptical I became of him. Towards the end, I doubted he even had a tractor. His post just seemed more geared towards antagonizing people than receiving or providing any real information.
I hope he bought a Green tractor and is on the John Deere forum messing with those people /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. I dont get over there much but I would enjoy just visiting them to see how they handle him.
I would like to say I am proud of how everyone handled him. Some of the other forums I visit wouldve resorted to name calling and threats. Everyone here kept cool and tried to be helpful to the end. Thanks.

Kubota people are just a tad more civilized than some of the other tractor colors..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't know why I am getting in on this one, maybe because I can't sleep and decided to browse TBN, however, if you look in Ramon's bio it says he was in Quality Control for 30 years?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Maybe his tractor just isn't what he would have expected it to be and really is not sure how it is to be operated?? I get such a kick out of people who come on here and complain about their purchase and we give them advice but we never hear about from them again or sometimes they only post once. There is one complaining about John Deere right now also.
