Ramp for Loading a 7 foot dumpster with FEL

If your dumpsters are like the ones in bcp's picture why not open the back door and drive right in. You could really pack that stuff in there then.

Not all roll-off dumpsters are 30 cubic yards. When I get a dumpster, it's usually a 10 or 20... much easier to work around.

If you have a 0 to 3/4 gravel pile (I do), I make ramps out of that. If you put in some stakes and side boards , they don't have to be too wide, but if you don't then you will want to make the ramp at least twice as wide as your tractor to prevent sliding off of the sides. But the dirt will work too, or logs and dirt. I would rather use a dirt or gravel ramp than the car ramps anyway.. easier to hit with worrying about falling off. Just start stacking dirt of gravel right up against the dumpster, make it as wide and as high as you need. Dont forget to slightly dump your bucket as you start to go up the ramp to prevent materiel from spilling back out on to your hood. Just go slow and use 4wd and use common sense.

Decided that moving ramps or fill around the dumpster as it fills up is not feasible because of obstructions, so a 30Yard may be the way to go as bcp said.

Also found out they have barn doors so I can drive in for awhile. It sure seems like I could get 30 yds loaded into a 40 (thru the barn doors). then the last 10y I have to do that old-school (by hand). I've loaded an entire 40 by hand, but that was in my pre-tractor days (when I was dumber but stronger).

Dang, I like to get the biggest and do it once but with my luck I'd need 50yds & have to get a 2nd dumpster anyway.
