You will find the wait is worth the machine I have a 20 3point stand a lone there is you will learn the hard way with this splitter do not rev the tractor wide open you have to put hoses back on I pull my tractor throttle wide open and blew a steel nipple. With a nitty log don't use your 4 way it will bend your splitter head. My tractor runs from 4 to 6 hours a day for 5 days on idle and I use sound 7 gallons.I have worked with another person and the splitters is waiting on us most of the time. I put quick couplings on my hook up so my tractor can be used to haul wood to my table. When I get my wrapper and everything like I want it I will send a picture of the set up. Ram splitter has done a very good job. BE PATIENT

"I am the owner of a Ramsplitter HV16 Electric log splitter for the past year. I had an issue with the unit the first time I used it, he couldn't fix it at that moment, so I left the unit and he offered to deliver it to my home for free in about two days, I live 50 miles away. That was a nice of him, I wasn't expecting his offer to deliver the unit.

I just got back from Ramsplitter today, to have the on/off switch replaced, it failed. The unit is about a year old, he replaced the switch with a toggle switch vs. microswitch and replaced the bent platform with a two inch piece of plate steel, I will have trouble bending this with another 300 pound log. This was all replaced at no cost to me, my dealings with Doug D. have always been positive. He gets some grief from other postings and I do know he has some quality of parts issues and his workers don't always pay attention to the details, but Doug has always treated me fair and I will be recommending Ramsplitter to anyone who wants a great log splitter that will slice through any type of hardwood."

I just bought a Ramsplitter HV20 with the honda 5.5 GX160 motor. I have a couple questions... My Ramsplitter did not come with a 10 micron filter assembly for the return line. I plan on using Dexron III/mercon automatic tranny oil for the hydraulic oil. It appears most splitters have a 10 micron filter set up on the return line of the hydraulic oil. 1) do I need to have one of these filters installed, 2) if so where can I buy one of these filter assemblies. From what I understand there is a screen type inline filter but the 10 micron filter I would imagine would help protect the splitter much more. Any help would very much be appreciated!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Bought one of the Ramsplitters $1500 you cant turn it on, oil starts shooting out all over from cap, I call them, they tell me, well if you turn it on again, enough oil will come out and it shouldn't overflow any more, (leaving only 1/2 the normal required hydraulic oil in there) they said it sound like the weld was broke in the cap, which they say sometimes happens, ............. I still cant believe they actually told me just to let it leak out and overflow until there not enough oil in there to overflow, and tell me that should be OK,? this is a brand new machine. I thought the oil cap threads were stripped or something痴, they finally agreed to send me a new cap
Well they do send me a new cap and I ask them well how do I get the old cap off, they didn't know, they said, well try prying it off. (I could not) WOW, now I have a $1500 piece of crap just sitting there. What does under warranty mean to these people, more so, what the heck does sending a defective piece of equipment and not come and fix it mean. It was real obvious they had really no intentions of wanting to help me. If you bought a new car and had it delivered and the head gasket was blown, do they send you a gasket and tell you to replace it, I cant believe the (I don稚 want to deal with any problems) attitude after they have the money they have
