Oil & Fuel Ran out of gas

I think a few people here are confusing poignant replies for abuse. So far i didn't see anything that rose to the level of 'rude', 'abuse', or even 'criticism'.

Surely there must be something to talk about other than to defend against attacks that weren't even launched?

I was the first response to the OP. I was NOT flaming the new guy! I was asking a question. Did not want to give the wrong advise ie how to bleed the system to find out he toasted his engine.

Any hoot. This is a good time to change the diesel fuel filter. Becuase when you ran it out of fuel you actually sucked all the debri/trash from the bottom of your tank thru your sytem.

I second the suggestion to change the filter, its amazing how much junk is in diesel fuel.
