Thanks for the reminder! Glad to hear he wasn't seriously injured. We've sure spoiled Phoebe, our 12+ year old friend we got as a puppy from the dog shelter.

He won't hold it against you. Reminds me of a joke: Lock your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car and wait an hour. When you open the trunk see which one is happy to see you.

Poor old boy! It certainly could have been worse but he will heal up just fine.

Dually's been grounded. I've had him staying with my mom, while we're at work. Around noon, he's needed to go out to do his business, unfortunately, he's been taking advantage of my mom and chooses to also go to our pond and go swimming. Not such a good idea with such fresh and open wounds on his leg.

The vet did a pretty good job pulling all the skin back together and stapling it. He has a few places, where they couldn't do that, but it looks like it's scabbing over pretty well.

With his swimming, I get concerned about infection, so I've been redoing his bandages and spraying down his leg liberally with antiseptic spray. I'm about to run out of spray, so I'll need to find some more on the way home tonight.
