#1) I have purchased one tractor. New 2013 LS R4041H. Open cab, hydro tranny. I run it at whatever RPM suits the task. Do my own maintenance. 520 hours. Never been back to dealer. Don't have any plans to sell it but would definitely favor LS again.

#2) If I was going to buy a used tractor I would only consider ones where the only guy that used the tractor was the guy who paid for it. Brand less important.

I agree on this point! If you are dealing with an older man and he starts into, "My boy(s) used this at the deer camp a good bit!" then you may want to avoid it. People, young people in particular (this from a relatively young person), aren't as careful with stuff they didn't pay for.

Anecdotal, to be sure, but I second the experience of the LS owner above: it was more than $10k cheaper than everything but the RK tractors (which were still more), and it has never missed a beat or been back to the dealer for anything. It is easy to service and starts immediately, even on the coldest mornings when I need to scrape snow off the driveway. Will you have the same experience if you buy one? Maybe, maybe not. Some definitely see the value proposition in Orange or Green, and I certainly understand why, but the cost made my decision for me in the end.
