When you think about it, the dealer probably should save his money...

On a car there is potential exposure...seems like someone is always behind you at a traffic light or stop sign, or even walking past your car when it is parked somewhere...

How many people are close enough to your tractor to read those stickers, people who don't already know where you bought it???

The dealer for the most part is paying for the sticker, and paying someone to stick it on, which probably costs more than the stickers do...thinking he is going to get something positive in return...when in reality he is for the most part just getting negative vibes sent his way by his customers... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

In the two years I have owned my tractor no one who might have an interest in buying one has been within reading distance of it... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Well, guess that is not exactly true...5030, Spencer, and Ed King have seen it...but they are not local (Ed is closest, but still an hour away) so it would have made no difference...happily, my dealer doesn't deface his products with stickers... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Way too many stickers. I was actually shocked and a bit dismayed when my tractor showed up without and stickers on it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Strange, I know but some pictures of the machines my dealer sold had very tasteful stickers on the rear of the fenders. In New Hampshire all cars get dealer stickers. I think in Massachusetts they have to have the buyers permission to put one on.

Look, after paying thousands and thousands of dollars for that machine what right does the dealer have to deface it without your permission. Mine came with two dealer tags, took them off that same night. And as much as I like Kubota I"d even like to remove some of thier stickers. I think it makes for a cleaner lookin' machine. Used WD-40 for removing left over adhesive.

The only sticker that I have are those from Kubota. My dealer did not add any of his. What he does have if I wanted one is about 2" X 3" with his logo and number. It's obviously a regional or dealer option.

Fellows, it can be worse. Take a look. This is the only thing that I have ever gotten upset at my dealer about. Actually my dealer was understanding. But, his bother is the shop Foreman, he couldn't understand what the problem was. At least not till I was finished. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

That is that paint stick isn't it?? I have that everywhere I don't have a dealer sticker. When I first saw it I assumed that it was just grease pencil but I have since learned differently. It is some of the only paint still left on the tooth bar, it is on each and every implement that came with the machine and it is on about three or four different places on the tractor. My name, the salesmans name, sold, invoice numbers. Bugged me a lot at first now I just shake my head and wonder just how long my entire name, first and last will still be legible on the toothbar.

Yes, it is paint stick. They put it on everything. Must have been about 10 of them. They were on the tractor, loader, loader mounting brackets, backhoe, third arm etc. I took it off with Goof Off. It didn't hurt the paint but did take the paint stick off.

I usually just remove them if the tags (stickers) take away from the looks, and don't get too stewed up about it. I believe the dealer who is proud of his dealership and proud of the product he sells, is also proud to put the name of his dealership on that product. I like a dealer to be proud of what I am buying from him. And I like a dealer who is working at keeping himself in business. I hope he is very successful, and will continue to be there for me. If I help him sell more products with his name on my tractor or attachment, then I figure I win too.

I with you...I hate those blasted things. I removed all 15 or 20 of them from my tractor using rubber cement thinner (Bestine). It's available at most art supply stores, and it will not affect the paint. Other products are available that will do the same thing. Be careful with certain solvents, or you'll loose paint. Tip...the sooner you get them off the easier it is. The adhesive tends to get more aggressive with age.

There are two such stickers on my FEL and none others. Never bothered to take them off.

I have bought cars and went to pick them up and found they had riveted on a metal name tag and refused the car as a result. If it is just a stickon I would make them remove it. J
