I feel for the landlords. Many of the renters that get behind are likely the ones that wont be able catch up if/when we get back to normal.

I inherited a work from for a former employee. He apparently was a dead beat and a player.When we first moved here they gave us the number that had previously been assigned to a real deadbeat. Collection calls galore. After a few months we got it changed to the number in our exchange that had gone the longest time unused. That got rid of most calls, but as far as I know many of the spammers just dial sequentially so unlisted or not they're gonna get you.
Caller ID is a good thing...if we don't recognize the # we let the answering machine get it. Very few of the junk callers leave a message.
^^^ Yep... I do not see how this will end well. It will go on for years in court.
I wasn't aware that landlords don't have bills of their own to pay. Do plumbers work for free now, and is heating oil the same?
