Bought a 72" Ratchet Rake over the weekend at TSC, on their close out deal $199. Got it home and the eyelets for the straps hit exactly on the outer edges of my 60" heavy duty bucket on my 7108 New Holland loader. No other choice but to cut them off because the Rake would not slide onto the bucket all the way. Cutting them off was a bi.ch. Welding on very heavy duty. I used torches to do the cut off. After cutting them off there will be some holes to fill, one square one where the eyelet was set and then any torch marks. After cleaning everything up I re-welded the eyelets one tooth over towards the center and now a perfect fit. I used oxy/cet to cut off and a lincoln 225 buzz box to weld back on with 1/8 rod. I'll add some pictures to next thread.

Good welding. Nice work... if I do modify mine, I'm only going to move one of the brackets. :p

That's what I was thinking too:laughing: I'd take the easy way out!

To the OP, good job. Of course, a few hours and some big rocks will see how good your welding is?
