Trading my b2620 today for a bx2670-1. Which is better for overall use a ratchet rake or toothbar. I know it would be easier to remove the ratchet rake after use, but any other reasons to get one from the other?

What are your applications?
Moving boulders?
Raking up twigs?
I have a Pirahna for my relatively stoneless soils.

I just want to get something for general usage, I don't have any rocks to speak of to eliminate on my property, I could see using it to tear up the soil a little to plant grass or level a drive.

I have both, I use the Toothbar for digging and moving dirt, stone makes driving into a pile easier. Also used it to get under asphalt, concrete.
Ratchet Rake I use for ripping out vegatation, saplings, sod, raking twigs, leaves and soil prep for seeding.

There it is. I have the RR and wouldn't give it up. I do mostly home landscaping and RR leaves ready to seed yard and takes less than 2 minutes by yourself to install, depends on how fast you walk from one side of bucket to the other side, and a minute, by yourself to take off. I had a bolted on tooth bar early on and was worthless to me but the Pirinha wasn't available at the time. For my uses I still pick the RR with the Parinha nipping on it's tail. The Pirinia can stay on and the RR has to be taken off when scooping up "stuff".

I got the pirahna for my 1860. I back-dragged with it before seeding. Then i put seed out with a spreader, raked in with a soft rake, and covered with red sand and straw.

It seemed to work well for that to me. I have also put the bucket down level with the ground and run into 1" sapplings. It kinda cuts into them with the sharp edge (grips good) and yanks them out.

The only similarity between both are back dragging with the teeth down.
The pirahana toothbar is a whole new cutting edge and protects the factory edge. It really slices thru the dirt and sod also cutting saplings. It is at least 3x better than then factory cuttung edge. Even get more material in the bucket, minimal, but every load adds up.
The rachet rake is great for underbrush and prepare seed beddings. It has more teeth per foot.
Depending on the job it doesnt hurt to have either tool.

Love my PTB as I have done a lot of digging and grading. I leave the bucket and tooth bar o 24/7. I use a back blade and a LandPride 60in rake on the 3 point for finishing and preparing to seed grass.
