You may want to try contacting them directly. If they stand behind their product, they may replace or give you some kind of compensation. It should not have worn down like that.

Pics as promised. This RR has been used less than a dozen times.

Thanks Tomtint, taking a measurement from your pic and comparing it to mine it looks like you have worn off 1/2" from the small (side) tines. On mine the base is 1.5" and the length of the small tine is 2". Your base and length of tine appear to be the same.

The combination of rock material on your road appears to have the same effect as a grinding stone.

I'm guessing that there is maybe 1".. No more that 1 1/4" left on the bottom teeth. I'm having a friend who is a welder by trade, cut off the mounts so I can flip it and have the larger teeth point down. As I said earlier, it was a decent piece of equipment for the money, obviously it has its limitations. I would classify it as a bit above average for homeowner use. Definitely not commercial grade.

Our crushed blue stone is nothing special. It's used all the time under walkways as a base material and also as filler material between landscape pavers, bricks, and stepping stones. It's relatively fine in size which allows it to compact well and also drop down between walkway materials. Apparently, it must be abrasive as well.

Wow! Are you sure you don't have blue diamonds? That is unbelievable wear. Though I didn't voice it, I confess to doubting your word. Therefore, my apologies.

I doubted too, but seeing is believing.

Tomtint, did you buy the 72'' rake or a shorter one? The 72'' should have 5/8'' thick steel and the shorter ones 1/2'' thick.

It's a 72"

Did you contact them to see what they thought? I'd bet the poor thing didn't get any heat treatment during mfg.
