Ratchet Rake yes or NO ?

No problem with the straps here. I run the straps flipped so the ratchet is on top of / behind the bucket. The RR goes with me everyday to work whether I'm running the tractor or CTL. I'd like to somehow fab it up to work on a mini-ex, but I think a 48" the same thickness as the 72" would be the ticket.

Got mine last fall, and have used it for pulling trees, vines and leveling rough spots. It works well and as has been stated easy on and off. I have had zero problems with the straps.

Buy one.

Perhaps my "best value" attachment @ $299. Nothing better for tearing out underground grape vine roots, multiflora rose and Smilax.

( I hope you do not suffer these beggars. )

I have used my 72" wide ALOT. Clearing brush, trees, tree branch's . Pushing brush into piles for burning etc. I have had to replace 1 ratchet-the ratchet part. I had a 2" ratchet for tie-down, take the bolt out that holds the tail with hook, swapped them, put bolt back in and go. About a month ago I broke a cable. I replaced both cables with chain and still use the ratchet setup for securement. I would not worry about the strap/cables though, it took alot of abuse for mine to fail. The ratchet straps are the everyday 2" ratchet straps you buy for tieing stuff down on trailers. You could buy the kind with wire hooks, cut the long side down and use it that way.IMAG0727.jpgIMAG0743.jpg

Got one last spring and it has been good for road grading and seedbeds... But great for brush. I just drive into the brush and it pulls most of it up. I pile it and then use the rake to remove trash and expose dirt for seed. Much of what I do is along forestland, and it does make a nice transition.

I am really looking forward to tackling more this spring. One tip, it pulls up more if the ground is soft... Not wet, just soft. And I have had no problems with the straps. It's easy to put them on and take off. No problems at all.

TractorSupply has a 15% coupon out right now. Some TSC stores stock them.

TSC coupons just come in he mail for regular customers. Usually, however, you can get one at the store as well. The current one is for 15 percent off total order with a maximum discount of $100.

I got my RR at TSC with another coupon and saved almost $100. Good piece of equipment.

I did watch them and that is what has me interested - they made it look real easy - I am a newbie running the controls so I can assure you i would be way slower - but it looks like something i could really use

Also take a look at the Piranna Tooth Bar by BXpanded. I put one on my tractor a few weeks back....digs and clears brush real well.
