Tim, great news about the Pup! Back here in Va, if you have blacksnakes, you will not have copperheads. I've never seen it happen, but a blacksnake will kill a copperhead. It must be true as my father's shop had a resident black snake and never had a poisonous one there. Scared the Pi$$ outta me one day as I walked in the door to be face to face with a skin shed that was hanging from the rafters. When a snake sheds, the shed skin then "shrinks" some, but the shed was still over 4 ft long and it wasn't the whole thing. I saw this guy laying along a rafter once and he was (seems to me anway) over 7 ft long. Pop didn't bother him and he just ate the mice. They had a good relationship for a number of years.
