Rattling noise on loader

I have a 2538 and the lynch pin that connects the loader to the frame has a bad rattle. At full throttle rattles louder than the engine. Anyone else have that and solved the problem? I guess I could tie wrap it but was looking for something more elegant.

I can't stand rattles either! It is likely because it sits loose in the hole but it's not supposed to be a really tight fit or it would make it hard to pull. I'd try pulling the pin and maybe putting a couple wraps of tape on it, just enough to make it not rattle.

Use a spring on the pin like Kubota uses on ROPS pins.

I had the same exact problem. Drove me crazy. But...the good news is that it proves the weight of the super structure on the loader is not on the pins, but rather the 4" mounting cylinder, that is part of the chassis.

I've tried pulling the pins and putting a heavy dose of grease on them. Works for about 10-15 minutes. Tried wedging a few tooth pics in there, and that lasted for 5 seconds. Only thing I could get to work was to take a bungy cord and connect one end to the handle and the other to the superstructure, so it moved in concert with the up and down movement of the loader.

I understand you're wanting to keep the "fix" elegant. But once you've had the tractor for a while and have added some "character" to it (scrapes, dents, etc) bungys almost seem elegant.
