Rattling noise

I used a mini gun with flex hose, but its a *itch for sure. I'm not so sure about greasing them bi- weekly though. Depends on how much you run the tractor. How much dust and grit you use it in. The manual says every 50 hours- I stick to that for the most part. The weekly ones are the bucket and hoe if used a lot.

No noise or rattling from mine.

A lot depends on what type of bearing they are. More can blow the seals out in some and I've always followed the three pump rule. I use marine grease - yeah more money- on all my fittings.
Its just lasts longer with outdoor equipment.

Mines been greased twice- she's about ready for another go round. I certainly wouldn't do bi-weekly ....unless the tractor is part of a lawn service or used daily.

Honorbound, TYMinColton & Tom59, Thanks for the feedback. I gave 5 shots to my dry fittings before I saw any grease appear, which leads me to believe that 3 would have been enough. Of course, that back fitting got about 15 pumps before I managed to get some inside of it!
I believe I'll try to locate a 90 degree coupling for my grease gun end and that should help a good bit. Either that or change the actual fitting to a 90 degree and then whenever it stops it'd at least be pointing in the down direction! But, since I don't know whether they are metric thread or not (they probably are) I'm gonna go with the coupling fix first.
I took a couple of pictures. They are dark but show the general area of the fittings locations. For any TYM omners that haven't already discovered this problem area. My computer has been hanging up a bit tonight so it's running slower than usual. Bear with me and I'll see if'n I can get them uploaded.

Yikes, it is in a tough spot. I looked for the rear zerk in question on Sunday, but couldn't find. I think your original message was clear, I just didn't read it carefully. guess TYM assumes you'll grease it when you change your fluids (i.e. remove the hydraulic filter)?

Thanks for the pics. A bunch of K2 owners will no doubt benefit from your "rattling noise".

All the best,
pete

I looked on my TYM build Montana last night and there is no grease fitting in that place.

Also I have a rattling noise for some time when I was running in High at about 2500 RPM. Found it to be a cracked bracket on the hydro fluid radiator. After I repaired it no more rattle

My hydro cooler broke also and TYM shipped me a new one free (warranty). Might be worth checking into as they perhaps made a change.
Good luck.

How many hours did you have when it broke?

I have 250 and two years out of warranty.

Thanks!

I would guess about 125, that was two years ago on a 2006 purchased tractor. I sent a photo and email to my dealer about the break and next thing I know I get a new one in the mail, no charge and no questions asked.
