Do any of you drive or have owned a Rav4 ,2 seniors live on an acreage .Replacing a Silhouette ,looking for AWD and hope for a bit better milage .Looking at the Toyota because our daughter and our sil love their car . He says if you buy a Toyota you are stuck because they run forever.

You also need to check out Subaru;Outback is an awesome vehicle.They are selling like hot cakes,difficult to find in our area.We have owned three and very happy with Subaru.

A friend has owned several RAV4s and loves them. I began having trouble getting in and out of my 4WD pickup, but living where I do, I needed to retain 4WD. My wife and I tested the RAV4 and was going to buy it until I tried the Venza, now discontinued, and bought one with V6, way more expensive than the RAV4 but I needed the smoother ride and it will be the last vehicle I ever buy.

My daughter has owned Forerunners and Highlanders, but the entry height was too high for me. My wife and I only own Toyotas, but my son loves his CRV with 300k+ miles and as mentioned, Subaru makes great machines.

A neighbor has owned her RAV4 for about three years now, no problems whatsoever. she loves it. SWMBO is wanting to get a newer vehicle and I'm looking pretty hard at the Rav4 Hybrid, it's got some awesome reviews

I think the top 3 mid size crossover SUV's has been the Subaru Forester, Honda CRV, and Toyota Rav4 for a long, LONG time.. I think they just swap positions with each being #1 at some point..

Honestly you can't go wrong with a Rav4.. Personally I would prefer the Subaru Forester or Crosstrek

My wife is looking for a new Crossover and Im hoping she goes with a Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander (she is tired of her subaru, but has 145k miles on it)

had several rav4's. yes comes with the toyota dependability. but will say they are best suited for the asphalt. i use mine also off road (strictly utility driving way slow, etc) they just aren't built for that, have had multitude of expensive repairs. 16" wheels are a plus. the all wheel models get only low 20's mpg. maybe the newer versions are better. just my view. a poor man's cracker box at best. am sure many will differ on that best regards

We had an 04 RAV4 and just bought a certified used 2013. The "new" one has averaged 28 mpg in the 2200 miles we've driven it in the month we've had it. We like it although I can't find a good position to rest my elbow while holding on the steering wheel.

You need a 4Runner. RAV4s aren't made for bashing through the boonies.

had a 4runner, ok i guess, very poor gas mileage and expensive rear axle seal leaks. my 4cyl 4x4 toyota truck is a completely different story, 230k going strong & a workhorse. " bashing through the boonies" is not what i do, strictly utility driving slow on county roads. agree tho that rav4's are for soccer moms on asphalt. best regards
