Sounds good to me... I was planning to do the same when I picked up a used 72in blade but I tried it first and it is working for my needs. There has been a few times the 'tail starts wagging the dog'. Someday I may trim it to 60in but I like the fact that it clears my rear tires even with it offset. I don't have to get too close to the ditch.What Id do is draw a vertical line, then cut it with a sawzall.
