Has anyone else had their RCK54 MMM unhook the front mount while backing up and mowing at the same time:confused: ? ? ? WELL, I got tired of this happening (Like it did AGAIN yesterday.), so I got a few pieces of 1/8 metal left over from my cut off saw and put them in the problem area of the deck. Problem SOLVED:thumbsup: ! ! !

Here are some pictures showing the deck that has JUST unhooked itself, the pieces I put together, and showing how they went on. I hope someone else will get use of this idea. :D

Sorry about the dirty equipment, BUT this is a WORKING tractor, not a show piece.:2cents:

Wow, can't imagine how that could happen if properly adjusted! Did you check and verify the front link adjustment is set correctly? (47mm / 1.85 in - Page 11 in Operator Manual)

Sorry, I wasn't completely clear about that. :confused3: I have had this happen several times while mowing some clumps of brush. When backing up to recut in reverse, the deck would bump against the stubs and push it forward, causing it to unhook. I have mowed like this again, after putting on my little clamps, and NO PROBLEM ! ! !:2cents:

Yes, it is properly adjusted to specs in book, and it is also properly adjusted for front to back and side to side level cutting. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?

I've got the 60" deck on a bx2360 and gone back and forth over some pretty ugly stuff and never had that happen to me before. I have had the front of the deck drop because I flat out forgot to make sure the front lock pin was actually engaged.

A thought - I know on my tractor there are several things that function just fine but aren't what I would think of as falling within tight tolerances. As an example my deck height adjustment knob came factory with a heck of a lot of play in it. Could it be that the mounting points of your tractor are "out of spec" just enough that the specified front link adjustment of 47mm isn't enough?

Could be completely off here with that suggestion, just trying to free think about what might be causing your issue? Any possibility of pics of the stubs your were mowing?

Panik,

Sorry, no pics. After getting the deck reattached I mowed over it again and got them cut off to clear. I don't think there is a problem with the equipment, just "Operator ERROR". :D If I were to think about it while mowing, it wouldn't happen. I have had no REAL problems with my BX 2350. I only wish I had gotten the BX 25D or the BX 2660 instead. Only to have the greater lifting power on the FEL. This thing takes EVERYHING I throw at it and asks for more.

Hopefully next week I'll be posting more pics on my other thread on the rock project I'm working on.
