I picked up a new builder and placed several culverts for him.

I started this shop pad with my tractor. I stripped the organic, keyed in and headed down the road to get fuel. When I finished fueling the box blade wouldn't raise. Found out later that it was a loose power beyond plug. I was sweating bullets while I picked up the Case to finish the job since I had three triaxle loads of select fill blocking the street.

Here's a washout repair done with a new Kubota KX040-4. Three hours on the clock. I cleaned up the slope and dug a couple anchor footings on the sides, then placed a couple ten-wheeler loads of rip rap over two layers of geotextile fabric.

This one took longer to cleanup the tracks and mud in the street than it took to do the job. The builder had the bright idea to take out the entire sidewalk in front of this lot...which then filled up with rainwater. They tried to fill the driveway spot with a pickup load of sand, then promptly buried the pickup in the sand/mud combo. I dug it out, laid a double layer of geo and spread a thick layer of road base in the entrance. I also graded out the lot for better drainage. Hey...that's what silt fence is for, right? I hardly ever work in town...must of freaked me out since I failed to take a pic when I finished.

First thing I thought was why are you working in a residential neighborhood? LOL Is there any inspectors or a permit for what you did there?

Eddie - The name of the company was Two Crazy Guys, or something to that effect. They must be...I told them I have an 8hr minimum on the machine plus materials, and they agreed to it! I called my inspector who told me to get in, get out and fogetaboutit.

Murph - Thank you..and what's up with the new avatar?

Thank you! The Case has been working fine. Maybe I've worked through the majority of problems and it'll have a long and healthy service life...knocks on wood.
