The 1401d driveline ujoint is no longer available. See posting 1/13/05. For anyone who is interested, I ended up making a nice repair using a NEAPCO part no. 1-0028 u joint by making the following changes; the holes in the yolk were bored out to .787 in. and the inside yolk dimension was milled to 1.500 in. The new part uses spring clips on the inside of the yolk so that difficult machining of grooves inside the holes is avoided. The neapco part was $22 at my local driveline shop. I did all the work on a tabletop lathe/mill/drill machine. It's nice to have my four wheel drive back.

Yep, Danny, I could have sworn you mentioned that back on 1/11 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

Danny did say that he had the part on 1-11, that is true. What Danny does not say is that I emailed him and he said that his u-joint was one made for a shaft that was made for the u-joint with spring clips. I only assume that my shaft was OEM because I have no reason to suspect otherwise The ujoint on my shaft was staked in and with no inside yolk machining that would have enabled me to use Danny's part or even if it was the right size. It unnerves me to see someone continuing to "advertise" that they have the part when the don't. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The part number for the u-joint ( cross joint ) on the YM1401D is 194210-13370, I have them in stock. I also have the needle bearings for the u-joint, part number 194210-13380.
