Nick - the new bracket looks great!

It looks like none of your valves have a separate low-pressure return line, just in and out ports in addition to the work ports. That puts the reliefs in series so if you did grow an extra arm or inadvertently leave a bungee on a valve you could damage the pump. I would recommend at least an inexpensive relief valve Tee'd into the pressure line coming from the pump and returning to an unrestricted inlet in the tank. That would offer pump and overpressure protection for the whole system. Maybe something like that is already there or part of the power steering valve?

Better yet would be if a power beyond adapter is available for each of your control valves.

Good point on the relief. My system has built in relief. Just assumed his would. Other DF's have a relief valve right after the pump. (POWER UP WITH ArTRAC TRACTORS). Check Chips pics.

Cheers Brad :) In honesty its horribly easy to make a cute bracket in my line of work. Huge hunks of stainless knocking about and a waterjet cutter at my disposal ;)

There is a safety valve on the Hyd' system already. I'm quite sure it's in the steering assembly. If you stall the hyd' system out some way or another, the valve screams.

TTTTTT: your suggestion and explanation of your system fits mine perfectly. I was busy today (it's 8pm here as I write) and got a couple of hours of seat time, bringing the Foton's hours to a heady 9.7!! ... but I didn't get around to playing with the hydraulics. I'll borrow one of the female connectors from a remote and see if plumbing the FEL in-line on my system works. if it does I'll get a new set of shorter hoses made up: I have plans for the long ones ;)

Time to make a chees fondu, and crack open a bottle.

Enjoy your weekend Gents :)

Hope it works out. With mine the hose that came off the pump to the QD under the floor board was the perfect length to go into the FEL valve. I used my one longer hose and as you may notice just looped it around the lower part of the FEL bracket. Left it long just incase I needed a longer hose in a pinch. So far it hasn't got in the way.

Cheers Dave

Thanks Dave, it worked like a charm. Everything functioning correctly, overpressure valve squeaks happily if the remotes are tweaked... all good.

I need to make up new hoses though... these ones are far too long.

Great Nick!, Glad it worked out. Keep the questions coming. Never know may have other things in common to help out us and anyone else.
