The 30 mile drive to a shooting range got real boring so I cut a 25yd pistol chute out back. I'm liking this kioti more with every use -- this is one strong little sucker.

And since we hate pix....

I love how we just think of things to do with these tractors.

"Man I hate driving to the lake just to swim - Hey, I will just build a lake with my tractor, that's at least 6 months of work" :D :D

Cool Pictures!

LOL ain't that the truth, these l'il monsta' tractors are just so dam handy, and i keep getting surprised (pleasantly) by how strong a plow it is in 4WD low with the differential locked. It did really well without a toothbar, though getting one is in the "plan".

On the pistol range I'll plant 4x4's using its PostHoleDigger and set up the target mount; more pix of course :D

Highbeam, YES that's a MGD yardbeer in my hand

Ahem, could I see your permit there pardner?? LOL You know these activities need to be "regulated"- we can't just have common folk clearing their own land with big, dangerous tractors now can we?
Did I see a spotted owl up in the trees?? He he
Looks good- will be going to Packwood WA this weekend to the acreage for, you know, rest and relaxation (a.k.a: mowing 2 month old grass growth, get lured into attempting installing the new rear remote and tilt cylinder, 6 trips to local hardware for that one missing part which disabled tractor not included in kit, listening to teens whine about when we are going home, self medicating with measured doses of barrel proof spirits after tractoring of course)

LMAO yep that's R&R

I'll look forward to pix of your remote install. It's not quite the same but I gotta get some added to install a grapple on the front bucket: salmon berrries, blackberries just keep on growin'...

Planted the 4x's in concrete...the bullseye's are 5' off the ground...the l'il berm behind it is 6' tall and the ground slopes upward for a hundred feet...nothing until ~2000ft back there until a neighbors house, the wif doesn't like him anyway Haa...

...I'd show the target practice shotholes, but you could only see one hole in each target as all the shots were in the bull...using a .38 snub nose...100yds away...over the shoulder with a mirror...in the dark...

This was fun to dig, the bucket had no prob digging about 2-3" at a time into the clay hardpan.

Where is the cable and pulley set-up that brings the target back to you? :D

I know, you probably don't really need one anyway, since there'd only be one hole in the center. :D :D

That is great!!! I'll have to put that one on my "to do" list. Nice shooting too, but was that your shots, or your wife's? :) I had to quit taking my wife shooting. I taught her how to shoot and now she can outshoot me with her eyes closed. It's rediculous, and personally I don't think it's very respectful to out-shoot your husband. Last time I let her go I was teaching another couple how to shoot. We had targets set up on the ground at different ranges, and one set way off just for fun. We hit a few here and there, then my wife said she'd go down the line hit them all, then hit the one you could hardly see down range. Sure enough she went 15 for 15 with a 9mm even nailing the one down range. It was crazy. Since then I've hid her pistol, locked my life unsurance policy in the safe, learned to sleep with one eye open, and tend to treat her VERY nicely. :D

Now that's a useful project. I don't even try long range shooting with the handguns so a handful of clay pigeons set up on a bank 10 or 15 yards away keeps my pistol shooting skills where they need to be. Now with the Ruger 10/22 with a deer scope on it I like to set up targets at 100 yards and sight in for them. Nothing making cans dance 100 yards away with a rimfire. The bang-thud sound is great.

Did you notice the rootwads popping up under your tractor when the tree would tip or did you back off real quickly to prevent that? That's a good way to get a dozer stuck too.

Mmmmm, yard beer.

I've noticed that some trees as big as those alders you show can get knocked over but then some smaller trees like maples are nearly impossible.
