a Good fix on the loose chains (providing they are close to the size of the tire) is to let the air out of the air (assuming tire is off tractor) and leave a few pounds. Place the chains on the tire and take up as much slack as you can. Air up the tire and watch the slack go away, the tire becomes snug enough with no movement. No need to over inflate the tire

This works much better for snow than my 7275. It's much quicker, warmer and more comfortable. The tractor is only used for tight spots now and moving piles of snow.

Curt/Bob- Thanks for the ideas. Did do the tire pressure thing (on the tractor though). Will try the springs/bungees. I alos put a peice of pipe insulation on the handle of the lift to protect the fender. Works great.
