I know how you missed it. You've been inundated with a ton of tractor information and terms that are probably fairly new to you, and in just a little while it all becomes ONE LARGE MASS and everything seems to just run together. Does that sort of describe it? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I searched for a year before buying my Kioti. I know where you're coming from. John

Yeah pretty much. I'm familar with all the terms as I've owned tractors and farmed for several years but it gets overwhelming looking at all the different specs on all the different manufacturers.

I'm looking forward to getting my new DK45! Thanks again!

Here's an update:

I went and test drove both the DK35 AND DK45 this weekend. I noticed that the DK45 is alot more cramped in the cockpit than the DK35. Namely the shifter on the left side is way to close to the seat. Does anyone know if the DK40 has the same layout as the DK45? The dealer didn't have any DK40's. Is there any advantage between a 3 or 4 cylinder engine? I love the DK35 but I'm worried about it not having enough horsepower to do what I want it to do. Will the DK35 pull a 2 bottom plow?

The DK40 is going to have the same layout as the DK35, only the DK40 has metal fenders.

Is the DK40 worth the extra $1,000 and 5 horsepower? Is it a lot more tractor than the DK35?

If you think you might need a little more power than the DK35 but don't want something as large as the DK45 then yes i would go with the DK40. It is a little bit longer and has a tad longer wheelbase than the DK35. You can also get the Mid PTO on the DK40 if you choose. What kind of loader did you get priced on the DK40, Rhino?
