I went to my local Kubota dealer today. I've been looking for a used 30-40 hp Kubota and was looking at around $15K for an L3400. There aren't many around, either.

I looked at the new L3800 at the dealership and got pre qualified for financing.

With 60 months at 0% I am happy to buy the tractor with Kubota's money and pay it back. The dealer is including the loader at the tractor price and has another promotion giving a $500 credit toward any accessory.

Is anyone operating an L3800 that can give any feedback about their experience so far?

It's hard to beat the deal on the new tractor when the used machines hold value so well.

Any input is appreciated.

Kubotas that have life left in them are hard to find. When found they bring near new prices which makes it so easy and justifiable to buy a new one, especially at the 0% financing. GO NEW KUBOTAS!!!!!!!

The L3800 is a fairly new model, so there are more L3400/L3700 owners here. If no one responds, use the "search" function and type in L3800, there are a few owners and prospective owners on here.

I have not heard of anyone unhappy with their purchase.

sltretired,
Where are you located?
I am in NE Washington state and here the 110 mile away dealer is asking 19,700 for an L3200 with 66" Quicktach bucket.
The 35 mile away dealer wants about 20,000 for the same thing.
There is a dealer in Oregon that is offering about the same deal you talked about, just about website list for the L3200 tractor and loader, 16,000, but no $500 accesory credit and this tractor has a fixed 6 0" bucket.
This is $3,500 difference in price from local to Oregon: anybody have any idea what gives. Is the $16,000 for and L3200 a real price can he really sell one for that?

My quote is for the L3800 and yes, when I built the tractor on the Kubota website it comes in for a similar price, around 21k+. Salesmen use all kinds of switches to make you think that you're getting something for nothing, in my case, telling me that we are getting the FEL for "free".

Several experienced machine operators in my area think that the price is fair for the L3800 and wish that they were buying one.

The $500 coupon for an attachment comes in handy because the 0% financing doesn't cover non Kubota attachments. We'll use the coupon and buy the attachments with cash. We are considering a box blade and a brush hog to start.

After contracting my excavator to dig a diversion trench next week to keep water from migrating down our power trench I'm thinking a lot about the backhoe. It's almost 8k additional so I can hire my excavator for quite a bit of work for that. We'll see. Our soil is heavy red clay and water is migrating through the sand at the bottom of our power trench and pooling at the pole where it starts, right next to my neighbor who is already threatened by an eroding bank next to his house. On Monday the excavator will dig below the sand in the trench and dig a diversion lined with rock.

I can't wait to start doing my own work with my own machine!!!

Thought Kubota was still offering 0% financing on Land Pride attachments when purchasing a new Kubota. You might want to check the dealer and/or the Kubota website.

Yes, Kubota is offering free financing on their implements. The dealership is offering the coupon on non Kubota attachments (Bush Hog, etc.). I've got my eye on a box blade.

I am about the same place as you are. Do you know anything about the box blade that Kubota sells? Do they make it or is it made for them? I was trying to find specs on their box blades, but could not find any. What were you thinking for size? I was thinking that a 5' box blade would be a good size for the 3800.

I am a newbie so take my response with a grain. I'm showing that Kubota offers (off the top of my head) a tiller, a brush mower, maybe a finish mower and a snowblower as "Kubota" attachments. I don't think that they offer a box blade.

My dealer carries Bush Hog attachments and that is the box blade that they have. Since it's not a "Kubota" (too early to remember the name brand of their attachments) it doesn't get the 0% financing. That's where they entice by offering $500 off any non Kubota attachment. So we will finance all eligible Kubota stuff and pay cash for non Kubota attachments minus the coupon credits.

Now, since the acreage has no buildings yet, I need to build a barn to protect the tractor and attachments. I think I can sell all this to the boss. You are getting sleepy, very sleepy.........

I love my L3800. Awesome machine.

When I was buying my L3800, the 60 months was only good for older models. Not sure if that changed now or not. I bought mine about 1 month ago.

Is anyone operating an L3800 that can give any feedback about their experience so far?

I went from a BX22 to the L3800 and would never look back. I did look at the older model of that which is the L3700 and just didn't like the style of the machine. I have about 4 hours on mine and love it. Very strong machine. I have a BH on mine and it is very powerful.

It's hard to beat the deal on the new tractor when the used machines hold value so well.

I was in the same boat as you on this. The used ones are selling close to what the new ones are and considering the financing, it's a no brainer.

Any input is appreciated.
